Editorial team and method

Marie Lefèvre-Dubois has documented the Belgian market since 2018 and works through every operator himself where bonus terms always comes first. Lives and works in Liège.

How we test. we open an account ourselves, start with a deposit of our own money, file a withdrawal request and measure it through to the account. Every operator goes past the Gaming Commission's white and black lists and go over the small print word by word.

The outbound links earn us a fee; the assessment is not altered by it. The black list is named even when it costs us.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

Belgium regulates player protection more firmly than players tend to expect with effects you cannot route around. Every licence holder opens your account at €200 per week.

The EPIS system is the regulator's central exclusion list: after registration no licensed operator grants you access. The register is not public. Since 1 September 2024 the minimum age is 21 for casino, gaming hall and betting; only the National Lottery stays at 18. The bar is statutory, not a house rule.
